We are a company dedicated to producing fair and sustainable electronic products and giving consumers responsible alternatives. We started our mission for fairer electronics at Fairphone and were inspired by its mission, but felt that there still aren’t enough electronic companies that take responsibility for their impact. This is why we started Syllucid, to show the hidden costs and damage of our electronic products and work towards reforming the industry to protect the environment and people.
Fabian is an environmental campaigner, who has worked on fixing climate change and extreme poverty before turning his attention to the environmental and human problems caused by industry practices - especially in electronics.
Fabian is optimistic about the future and pragmatic about how to get there. You will find him wherever there is a good coffee and he is interested in the idea of ‘prosperity without growth’, the ‘circular economy’ and ‘steward ownership’.
Andrew is bringing lessons learnt from the fast paced software world to the slow moving hardware industry. He hopes to engineer the foundations to allow us to understand, take responsibility and finally minimise our impact with electronics.
Founding Syllucid is Andrew's contribution to fight towards improving the world, to provide a tool for us all to use and help reform an industry from within.
Emelie is a Brand Consultant and Visual Designer with experience in graphic design, digital
design and packaging.
She’s passionate about storytelling, human centred design and creative problem solving and wants to use her creative skills to make a difference in the world. She thinks everyone has a responsibility to take care of themselves, each other and the planet.
Being part of a project from the beginning means learning, adjusting and creating solid foundations for an idea you believe in. The time I am able to give to this project does not feel wasted because it is being invested in something positive and possibly market changing.

Fairness and sustainability drove me from France to Netherlands as I wanted to work with startups on sustainable changes. So when Andrew and Fabian, former colleagues from Fairphone, launched their project I've immediately been super enthusiastic. Indeed, they are profoundly ethics driven guys and I believed in their systemic and agile vision: starting with small and step by step bringing ethics to electronics.
