Fairtrade Gold is sourced exclusively from small-scale mines that meet the Fairtrade Gold Standard — an internationally recognised best-practice indicator for workers’ rights and environmental protection.

Recycled metals and plastics

Origin cables are made with 100% certified recycled plastics (PET, nylon, TPE), and 30-50% certified recycled aluminium. Plus the materials can be recycled again and again.

Responsibly sourced tin

The Syllucid Charge is made using carbon neutral and conflict-free tin solder.

Reforestry

5% of the profits of every purchase of the Syllucid Charge support the agroforestry project, Jubilacion Segura, in the Peruvian Amazon. This project is a start to stop the destruction in gold supply chains and make them holistically fairer and more sustainable.

Responsible materials

Gold-plated connectors

All our connectors are gold plated to ensure high-quality connections that last. We work with Fairtrade to support gold miners with Fairtrade Gold.

Aluminium casing

Strong, lightweight aluminium provides cables with additional protection. We’ve sourced recycled aluminium for our cables which uses 95% less energy when compared to virgin mined aluminium.

Braided PET protection

New life has been given to old bottles to help protect the insides of your cables. This protection not only looks good, but it’s designed to last and help keep the delicate cable insides safe.

Re-enforced nylon core

Added strength and durability comes from a recycled nylon re-enforced core. Despite being recyclable, nylon accounts for 10% of the ocean debris, which is why ours is 100% recycled.

Fair solder

Made with responsibly sourced, recycled and carbon neutral solder. Sourcing our solder from our partners Stannol and Fairlötet, ensures the tin in our cables protects people and the environment.

Recycled TPE

A large proportion of the cable uses 100% recycled TPE to protect the delicate copper wires inside. It’s also used in our bend protectors, where the majority of bending happens.
